about

Starting at a young age and being influenced by family members involved in singing careers, Kao became immersed in music. It didn't take long for that interest to turn into a fascination and eventually a profession. When asked how he began his career, Kao responded, “I have been rapping since I was 11 and at the age of 24 my style has finally been adapted and crafted into something unique, making my sound and product like no other. It is not only my want to become discovered, but my passion and my destiny. I will achieve stardom and the whole world will love me!”

Kao The Great’s self proclaimed album, Coolius, is due to release early 2013. The oddly named album caused some conversations and he simply responds, “There’s nothing like it, I’m on my own wavelength.” He released the video for his first single titled “Falling Up” and in a few short weeks it received over 32,500 views. The video has received major positive feedback from local websites of his hometown such as NatiGotNext.com, and DoubleCin.com and was also posted on a larger scale music blog, ViralZoo.com.

Kao has been the opening act, in Ohio, for major artists such as J. Cole, Machine Gun Kelly, Chip the Ripper and was one of the main acts and co-hosts for 8FestOhio, a charity music festival that holds more than 20,000 people every year.

“I want to make music and I want the world to hear me. I want to prove to the world that I am capable of making a masterpiece of quality sound and tell my story in the process. I have heard nothing like my music, I’m truly one of a kind. Get ready world, here I come.”

about

Kao The Great Cincinnati, Ohio

A wise man once said, “You can have anything in life, if you will sacrifice everything else for it.” What he meant is, nothing comes without a price. So before you go into battle, you better decide how much you’re willing to lose.
Too often, going after what feels good means letting go of what you know is right. And letting someone in, means abandoning the walls you’ve spent a lifetime building.
